This is the easiest question in the world to answer! Bunnies need to have a place to go where they feel secure. If you don’t have a hiding spot for your bunny, he will most likely use his litter box…and it probably doesn’t make him happy either!
Just get your bun a little box hut to hide in. You have to be careful of what you put in your buns home because he will most likely want to eat it, so use UNTREATED wood, or a PLAIN, cardboard box. He’ll be happier and more relaxed because he has his own home to run to when he’s frightened or just wants to be alone, and you’ll both be happier because his bottom isn’t sitting where he’s supposed to be peeing!
Wooden boxes are great because they also give bunny a secure place to sit on top of, but cardboard has it’s advantages because some bunnies will spend hours entertaining themselves tearing it to shreads (this might also be a hint that he needs to get out and run around for a while).
